Peruvian food done the right way. Sat at the bar with my wife and enjoyed every bite. Poncho and Eddie made our dinner very special, their knowledge about wine pairing and dish recommendations were excellent. Thank you both

Absolutely love this Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco! The food is incredibly fresh, bursting with authentic Peruvian flavors that transport me back to Peru with every bite. We and a few friends were staying Marriott and bell person recommended La Mar. it was a regular Weds eve, I called for a reservation 3 hours before or desired 6:30, got past the auto attendant and spoke to a super nice young lady, got the time requested. Arrive and waited. 2 mins for seating. Not a drinker; the bar appeared extensive. Overall appearance is clean with fine finishes. Views of the bay from the back. The Food : Totally different experience of creative flavored dishes. From appetizers, mains and don’t forget dessert. We had 5 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts. Each was uniquely diverse in flavors, ingredients and textures. I don’t know the head chef, but these dishes are among the best I’ve ever had…..anywhere in North America or Europe. Our server Christopher was awesome as well. GM also paid a visit to our table. (We are not VIPs). We had a tremendous experience, hope you do as well Jim

This place is absolutely amazing! It was incredibly busy the entire time we were there but the server was attentive and made excellent suggestions. HIGH RECOMMEND!
