La Grande Boucherie

this is my third time to visit here, and I love atmosphere abd service here. Rodrigo is one of perfect sever here, he recomemded food to us, and all of them is really good. Love here!

Had breakfast here with husband this past Friday. It was not very busy as it was just 9 AM. The atmosphere is very nice and the decor is beautiful. We had the Ham and Cheese Croissant, Avocado Toast, and the Continental Breakfast. The plates are actually quite big, we did NOT expect all that food. Everything was delicious. The only downside is the service which is slow. As mentioned, it was not busy however we rarely saw our server. Not sure if they are trying to mimic the French service culture. Overall nice place with great food.

Came as a party of 8 and the service was horrendous. The waiter kept forgetting parts of our order and gave us crazy attitude while ordering. 3 hours in before we were served mains. Then they charged us for a dessert we waited an 45 min for but never came and had repeatedly asked for.

Usually a big fan of Boucherie, but this recent visit to La Grande Boucherie (their midtown location) was unfortunately lackluster. We ordered the same thing we usually do at the west village location: French dip steak sandwich, tartare, escargot, French onion soup and everything felt like a notch below their downtown location. The French dip steak sandwich in particular was surprisingly dry, and filled with thin slices of meat vs the thicker juicier cuts of ribeye we’ve had in the past (see my profile for the other review). The fries were also more diner style than shoe string. Overall, ambience was nice and service was friendly, just weird that food quality at this location wasn’t up to par compared to other locations.

Just came here for brunch with a few people and loved the ambience and decor. Had the eggs Norwegian which were delicious and as a table we split a plate of pastries - all delightful. The bread came out warm and fresh which was a nice touch. At times I would say the room was a bit loud but otherwise I enjoyed our experience here! For dessert, we tried the Mont-Blanc but they were plenty of other items on the dessert menu that I wanted to try!

Overpriced, the food is not worth it. We were disappointed.
