I was staying at one the nearby hotels, so I thought I'd go over for a beer and something to eat. The beer was fine, but the food? Not so good. They brought out chips and salsa, and the tortilla chips were actually pretty tasty without being greasy at all. But the salsa? It was more like a marinara sauce than anything out of Mexico. It was pretty much plain tomato with maybe a touch of onion. I ordered the ceviche, as I wasn't terribly hungry, and a nice ceviche would go well with the beer. What they brought, though, did not resemble ceviche in the slightest. Yes, it had seafood bits, but not a hint of citrus to be found. They might have boiled it for all the flavor it had. And while it hadn't gone bad or anything, it certainly wasn't at all fresh. I will say that the staff was friendly and attentive, so it's not their fault. The owners need to hire a cook that has tasted Mexican food beyond Taco Bell. Hell, even Taco Bell food is more authentic than this place!
Lindo lugar, poca gente. La comida rica, platos generosos, el personal muy amable, pero algunas cosas que pedimos para beber y comer no tenían.
