Absolutely loved this place! The employees are great and super helpful. The pastries were delicious and so were the coffees. Highly impressed with this place and will return! If you’re a fan of macarons I highly recommend this place.
Good location, nice enough atmosphere. I got French onion soup, which was alright. Then I ordered a tarte and a coffee. The pastry was handed to me. I wasn't sure if the girl on staff remembered my coffee. She never said anything and went on to serve someone else. I had to wait, and eventually asked about the coffee. I was told to take a seat and that she would bring me the coffee. I had ordered a cafe au lait. It came in a bowl. Not a mug. Not a cup. A bowl. I should have taken pictures. You need new staff.
Hands down the best food, service & atmosphere of any place I’ve ever been.
This is a great place to eat, have coffee and catch up with friends. Wonderful atmosphere good, simple food options for a light meal.
Good food, good service, and a really lovely bakery in general. Get there early, though, since they run out of food pretty fast.
While we might automatically think of a bakery-centered restaurant and bar as a carb lover's paradise, La Chatelaine also offers a nice range of basic choices for low carb, keto, paleo, and carnivore nutrition. Poached eggs, for example, are not posted on the menu - but the kitchen is happy to accommodate you. The bacon, though not thick-cut, is baked not deep fried, so enjoy some of that. The best thing overall is the atmosphere: warm, dark, wood interior with French music playing in the background. The patio is lovely and large, with quite a few tables and umbrellas. Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner... or just enjoy a nice cup of French roast coffee and take in the vibe. Dietary restrictions: Low carb friendly Keto friendly Paleo friendly Carnivore friendly
I’m not sure what happened to the old Le Chatelaine but we both ordered the macaroni and cheese. It was nothing like what we’ve had in the past. It was entirely forgettable. I did love the pastries and I also purchased a quiche to take home and it was delicious. Parking: There was a reasonable amount of available parking.
We had our birthday brunch at La Chatelaine. The outdoor seating and weather were wonderful. So was the baguette and French toast with cream. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian baguette filled with vegetables- capsicum and onions. The French toast with cream can also be considered vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: Mostly it was kid- friendly and children in the outdoor area- garden were very happy.
Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and although it wasn’t very busy, they had run out of a decent amount of pastries which is to be expected. However, I was still able to order a few with my friends and they were absolutely incredible! The vibe was very cozy and inviting and left me wanting to come back to spend more time here. I ended up getting the Pain au Chocolat which was so good and my friend got the Brioche Royale which she also really enjoyed. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out and hope to come back soon to try more pastries and their other food options!
