I don't know how people are giving positive reviews still. It's closed permanently.

Food is awesome, I'm originally from Hawaii and this is the next best thing. But....I wish the website would be updated. It said open and I drove 1hr from Brandon just to have it closed when I got there. So disappointing. :(

2-2023 update Just as amazing as always. First time going in. Super bright, clean, and fresh, prob more so then any L&L I went to in Hawaii. Staff here was super friendly and helpful. Good came out pretty fast but it was not busy. LOVE the surfing video playing on the flat screen. So glad you guys are in Sarasota. Best Katsu anywhere around. You would be hard pressed to find better katsu within 200 mi. Kaula pork great too. Really everything, I just don't care for spam. ------- 7-2022 Just back to Sarasota from Hawaii. Check out the pic from the Honokaui, Maui store, we were across the street from them! This is a known restaurant in Hawaii (for many years) with multiple locations throughout the islands and now the mainland. Same food, but much larger portions here and better prices then on Hawaii right now!! Understandable, everything out there is shipped in 2k miles or local. I was able to get katsu chicken with curry sauce delivered it's on the in-store menu but not on doordash. I hear they also have Portuguese sausage for the breakfast food if you ask. That's super exciting since it's so hard to find on the mainland! Everything was spot on as expected and they were able to follow my requests for one of each flavor Hawaiian sun as well as make the katsu curry! Definitely try it out.

It is a very good place to eat especially If one is craving for something delicious yet so palatable.

was good in the short time it lasted, though it did seem to suffer from staffing and some system problems. But drove up there from Venice tonight only to find it covered over in brown paper, and apparently permanently closed. There is a sign in the window that says an Indian cuisine restaurant is coming soon. So, apparently it lasted less than two years. Sad.

I love the food here, the big problem is, when are you open? I call when it says your open to order Togo, says your closed, I drive by to see if your open, your closed.

As a kamaaina haole boy nearly 80 years old, I had anticipated the ono delights at this facility. The L & L Hawaiian BBQ in North Charleston has been slow in opening. So while in Tampa for my granddaughter's wedding, I made a special trip to this facility. Imagine my disappointment upon discovering the facility was closed. The windows and door were covered with brown paper. I have submitted an edit to Google Maps that the facility is closed. Fortunately, I will be in Hawaii in October and can get some grinds.
