Great food. Portion sizes are large enough where you actually get full before finishing - a rarity in this day and age of skimpy portion sizes. Chicken Katsu plate is the best.

I ordered the bbq mix plate and the food was undercooked the chicken had a terrible taste and the beef had so much fat and was also undercooked I never had this issue in any other brach I thought la jolla location would be fine but never coming back I don't know how there feeding this to the public

Great little place with good food, laid back atmosphere, and great prices.

Large size BBQ with rice. Ideal for the hungry. Price goes up sharply after COVID. $17 for a regular plate after tax. Friendly reminder: do not order anything with chicken katsu, as unremoved feathers on the skin of chicken

mind you i went christmas eve night looking at the list of food options available around us, but food was ready within 7 mins and they had it ready for me. I just wish there was more sauce on my BBQ beef and that I asked for extra to take. Katsu was juicy and well cooked. The portions are large so we had leftovers of both. Parking is tricky as you need to technically go into the lot next to it, but I just parked on the curb outside to quickly run in.

There is less food after the price increase.

I had a large order I forgot to place for a customer, and it was VERY last minute. Miraculously, Anthony To and his team came through with a delicious meal, still hot, and my customers and myself thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend for large parties. Good food. Well priced. Amazing service.
