The cucumber salad was not good, I don’t recommend it from here. However, the sushi was good!
This was a great lunch. The food was amazing. Thank you Gabi for providing such wonderful service! That recommendation was the best!
The big daddy sushi roll gave me food poisoning and the chicken fried rice tasted plain.
This place has gone downhill. Awful service. Waitress was rude, got our order wrong, wouldn’t fix it, then added gratuity to a table of 7. Never again
Arrived at Kuroshio at 5:20pm Friday. Seated immediately. Our server, Ariel was a polite and helpful fellow. Soft drinks came in a can, so no endless refills. Ordered appetizers; steamed gyoza and calamari- both were delicious. Ordered 2 plates of Shrimp and scallop teriyaki. Comes with miso soup and very generous and fresh side ginger salad! Excellent. The main plate had 6 large scallops, 6 shrimp, and stir fried zucchini as well as steamed (or fried) rice. We had to take some home. On the negative, we were seated at a couples table, but it was too small for 2 people! If all the food were brought at the same time, it wouldn't fit.
Food is always melt in your mouth good and fresh! Every dish is well prepared and I loved everything I tried from there. Service is so good that it gives a family owned approach!
Over the years the prices have gone up dramatically and the portions have shrunk. I can remember when tuna nigiri was about $1.50...now it's more than double that, and the portion is very small. I've also noticed the freshness isn't quite as good. When you eat sushi it should never be fishy. Sometimes it's been pretty fishy. Nonetheless, I still go there from time to time... Just not as often as I used to.
Just letting everyone know that as of Feb 2024 the website prices are NOT up to date and the difference is pretty substantial. For example the chicken fried rice says $10 online when it’s actually $15 and add ons are $2.50 instead of $1. My order total was $10 more than I expected and on top of that you still want me to tip? If you’re not going to bother notifying your customers of the price change then you should be honoring the website prices for online orders IMO.
