So sad to hear they are closing. Worth a second visit.
Last minute stop.in our trip. Was getting late and was afraid things would all be closing. Past it, all lit up and packed with cars, so we turned around and popped in. Apparently they are known for their steaks. Wow! Place packed...food was definitely hearty! Got a grilled shrimp salad, which was so much I couldn't finish. The shrimp were delicious, not over cooked or dried out and seasoned nicely. Also got a small cube steak, didn't want anything too big so late , was surprised how good it was. Will try a bigger steak next go around. Watched how many were coming out of the kitchen. Definitely a hit there.
Looks like this place was probably something back in its day but now it’s just old and tired. Prime rib tasted like it was boiled. To charge an extra dollar for blue cheese dressing on top of a $39 dinner but not bother mentioning it seems petty. I know this place is a neighborhood staple, but all good things must come to an end. This place is well past its prime.
This place is been a favorite my whole life! Going to miss it!
Food was great. Had a family get together in the back room and the waitress was great. Got all the food and drinks correct. Had a very organized way of handling all the guests.
Couldn’t love this place anymore. After skiing, when you feel like not cooking, to celebrate a loved one; it never disappoints. Kozels is a family establishment that we are lucky to have in this community. Thank you Helen and family! Kid-friendliness: Perfect place to teach your kids manners.
Nothing beats a large dinner party in the back room! Complete with birthday phone call
