Food was decent, not great value, service poor

I had somewhat high expectations for this place given it's popularity. I was very disappointed with the tempura udon. The only redeeming factor were the quality of the noodles, but the soup felt flat and the tempura was not really tempura (and portions were very small). You can get a better bowl of udon and at better value at marugame.

To be honest, I didn’t rate this restaurant at all. Firstly the staff were very tired and pretty flat, straight away any smile or enthusiasm was lacking which was a bit of a shame! Secondly, the menu is vast but SO overpriced for a bowl of broth and noodles. Really not great vegetarian options - I went for a Yasau Donburi bowl and it was awful. Think no flavour or sauce. I could have done nicer at home for way less than £16. My friends had okay meals but we all left and felt pretty sick afterwards, may not have been related but an untimely coincidence. Save your pennies and go somewhere else. Poor service, poor food and made us all feel sick.

Went there for my birthday. Loved it.

The ramen was really bland here - we ordered the vegetarian walnut miso ramen, but our other friends said the same about theirs. Curry was better but still not particularly special. Probably not what you’re looking for if you want a richer broth / stronger flavours!
