The outside of the building looked a little run down with grass and weeds overgrown and almost turned us off. Things were better inside. The food was good and the staff was really nice.
Oh dear... we didn't do hibachi. The sushi was not delicate (thick slices of jalapeños? ), the crab was breaded with corn meal (difficult to taste the delicate crab). Basically, the food was very Americanized -- large quantities, not authentic, and a tad tasteless. But the service was very, very good.
I am reticent to even give 1 star. My husband and I decided to try this place for our anniversary dinner, and we’re so very disappointed in the quality of food. We got the most expensive roll on the menu (King Crab Roll) and it was imitation crab!! That was expected for other ‘crab’ rolls we ordered, but this advertised Alaskan king crab on the menu. We also got General Tso chicken which came w ZERO peanuts or veggies and clearly made with last week’s chicken. This restaurant should NOT be in Carmel, it hampers the image of the city astronomically! Yes, I want my money back, but I’d rather just had a quality anniversary dinner
A very enjoyable dining experience.
I was surprised they were still open. Landscaping was abysmal and weeds were growing out of every crack in the concrete and along each parking space. Big weeds also in the landscaping. Looked like a run down, abandoned building
