Kono's Cafe

Kono's is a must visit when in the Pacific Beach area. Not only is the food amazing, but the staff is top notch. They will even bring your food to the ocean view patio or back and the coffee station out back. All around great place. Kid-friendliness: Watched a kid come in and his face just lit up the moment he stepped into the door. He excitedly told the staff that it was his birthday, and they made his pancakes birthday pancakes.

Counter service for a quick bite! You should probably get here before 9 AM because after that the line is at least 30 minutes. We only had to wait for about 10 minutes to order and then the food came out really quick after in a seat yourself type situation with both indoor and outdoor seating. I had the breakfast burrito #1 with sausage egg and avocado which is the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in San Diego yet. My wife had the breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed as well, we got plain coffee which was freshly brewed and tasted homey. Really neat surfer vibe cafe I’d enjoy again in the future and love to take guests to as it’s right on the boardwalk/path area in front of the ocean! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with quick food service Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, single story and no steps to enter.

Love coming here. Great food, inexpensive, sit on deck looking at ocean. Great hidden secret with mostly locals. We share with visiting guests
