The server recommended the Crispy Pork-Vegetable Pot Sticker (5 qty) over the bao buns (only 2 qty) because of the flavor and our party's size. They were excellent, must try. The Rainbow Poké was the right spiciness, very fresh tasting, recommended. The Kona-braised Short Rib was great. The server recommended swapping the Carrot-Ginger Purée with their mashed potatoes. The potatoes didn't sound special so I wanted to try the purée, but I did not like its texture (over-whipped) so should have gone with the potatoes. I wish it had more bok choy and less purée. I appreciated the server pointing out that the Turkey Banh Mi is a cold sandwich so I passed on that. If your kids like sushi, this is the best value kids meal (quantity and price) at Disney World. Unfortunately, not all the kids liked every type of roll, but they got plenty full. The Molten Chocolate Cake was very rich, which is what I wanted, but it was so much coffee flavor, which might be perfect for you; it was a bit much for me (I like coffee a little, not a lot). The server's personal favorite dessert is No Sugar Added Pineapple Haupia Cake and where else can you get it - so we tried it. It was unique and pretty but not for us. I want to come back but not sure what else I'd be really excited about (I'm not big on sushi but everyone else is). I might try the Verlasso Salmon or the poké, but I'll definitely get the pot stickers again and try the Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding. The server was excellent, maybe the best this week. She was always one step ahead with a great attitude. The atmosphere felt a bit exposed, not as private of a setting as I would prefer during busy lobby at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

I would expect a bit more from a restaurant in a luxury hotel. The gentlemen at the front were very friendly, but the server Muteya was horrible. Our interaction was minimal and she wasn’t helpful at all. I would not recommend them.

Best meal and drinks we had during our entire Disney trip. Get the sushi and the pot stickers! Kid-friendliness: Good selection on kids menu

This is honestly my favorite breakfast on all of WDW. The restaurant itself isn’t much but themed well enough and right in the main lobby next to Ohana’s. Their Kona coffee is amazing and get the pot to share. You can request to go cups for any leftovers and then walk right into the monorail. People rave about the Tonga toast and yeah it’s good, but it’s really the macadamia nut pancakes with macadamia nut butter that is the star for me. I just order one pancake and it’s plenty! The Gouda smoked grits are pretty delicious too. I’ve been once for dinner and that was delish as well. It’s possible to walk up but get a rezzie to be safe.

We always come to Kona cafe when in the area and it never disappoints. We love their breakfast, my favorite Big Kahuna and Lapu Lapu drink. We have family members with food allergies and they’re very informative about their ingredients.
