Always great food and service.

This Japanese restaurant is locatedlittle outside Denver area in Arvada. We were surprised by the variety and quality of Japanese food they serve. Quality food at an affordable price. They have some Japanese alcohol as well. The staffs are friendly and serve their food quickly. I would definitely recommend this place. Vegetarian options: There are few vegetarian options available Dietary restrictions: You have to request them Parking: Adequate parking facilities Kid-friendliness: Definitely, have kids menu too Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they are wheelchair accessible

I’ve been coming to the Colorado blvd location for almost 30 years now and enjoyed it every time until yesterday. Our waitress “ Aurora “ needs much more guidance and training on how to provide good customer service. I asked her to bring out some appetizers while we decide, she said “ No, we are short staffed and I have to bring out the food all at once- AND it makes it easier for us to wipe down menus”. Look I am a very big tipper and can understand challenges but this woman was so rude to me, treated me as if I were the burden being there at all. My son and I have gone there for lunch for years ( he actually applied for a job there) so the staff shortage explanation made no sense as he was outright rejected. He has a job now but it nonetheless made her that much more annoying as we left a near empty restaurant ( and no one was wiping down menus). I am a retired corporate manager and I would not have this woman dealing with any customers. Our once valued lunch was ruined by how we were treated. Worst waitress I’ve encountered in a really long time.

Came in a few days ago and a Caucasian Waitress with red or maroon hair yelled “stop!” As I was walking to the front to pay as usual…I asked her “why did she stop me here I was walking over to the register to pay and drop an extra tip at the tip jar as usual “She responded I saw you were leaving “….She then tried to force me an my mixed family to stop and pay in the middle of the restaurant. I then walked over to the cash register where she took the money I gave her and politely said oh hey this is where I usually pay in a very joking manner. She then got snappy with me and my wife . The waitress then Walked away saying fine I won’t help you again an proceeded to pick up the 1st tip I left because of the excellent service I received from the male waiter…I don’t think she knows how embarrassing that could be for anyone but it was especially embarrassing for this person of color with his Caucasian wife, niece and nephew. Maybe some type of training or procedures should be put in place because that almost ruined the evening Maybe we can move past this type of behavior in 2025?

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is fresh and delicious each time I visit. I have been visiting this restaurant and the Kokoro, in Arvada, since 2002. The waitresses are very kind, friendly and so professional. I cannot say enough about, how wonderful this place is. Cheers to excellent service and food. Thank you for such a wonderful place to eat!!!

My husband and just left the restaurant (around 6pm) the experience with the female server ( I don’t have her name she has ginger dark hair shoulder length) was very unprofessional and the way she approached us when we were walking towards the register to pay for our dinner made us feel very uncomfortable. We come to this restaurant probably from the past 5-6 years and we never had any issue, after having such an unpleasant approach from that specific server we most likely won’t feel comfortable combing back. Also when we just told her what she did wrong instead of apologizing and maybe trying to understand the issue she start snapping at us and acting disrespectful. Not a good look for the restaurant. Her actions were racist.

My wife and I dine at Kokoro on Colorado Blvd frequently. The food is consistently good and the servers are super friendly. Yulia and Wei Wei are our favorites. The cafe atmosphere is very casual and we often carry on conversations with other guests sitting across the counter. It’s the ONLY restaurant we visit multiple times each month! The Forest Child mushroom soup is so DELICIOUS! Love this place. Parking: We usually park in the back and don’t have problems with finding a space close to the back door.
