Our server was lovely and each of our 10 courses was delightful. Definitely not cheap but that was to be expected and what we were paying for. We paid less for more courses than meals we had that were similar quality in New York. I have seen several reviews complaining about the small portion sizes and feeling hungry by the end. I could maybe see feeling that way with the 7 course meal but definitely was satisfied with 10. We also don't eat huge portions at baseline but wouldn't have wanted anymore, otherwise wouldn't have been able to enjoy dessert.

For Valentine’s Day they made the tasting menu 7 courses instead of 10. Favorite is the tuna sashimi but all dishes are so good. There’s only 7 tables in the restaurant and 5 chairs on the bar. Small intimate setup.

We did the testing menu. While the food was good it certainly did not meet its price tag. It was a $960 bill for 4 people. One of the more disappointing aspects of our visit was the cocktail pairing. Very few drinks were actually cocktails, they were just cider or sake. In fact, one of the ciders was repeated. Which just felt lazy and unimaginative. We just felt that for the amount we paid, we should have been more impressed.

Outstanding experience all around. We've been 3 times in 3 months for the 10 course omakase with wine pairings, once at the bar and twice with parties of 6. Star-worthy, creative and not-your-usual-tiny-spoons of courses. Thanks to all the hosts there - front of house, kitchen, expo - really delivers, plus comfortable seating in a smaller environment.

My sister and I celebrated our birthday here last night and the experience was beyond comparison. We were greeted warmly and was offered champagne while we waited for the Chef’s counter to be free. We were seated and immediately greeted by the chefs, who were also clearly working hard on all the dishes. Being able to watch them work (the entire team is SO EFFICIENT with their space!) was wonderful. It was entrancing but also so fun. The chefs answered our questions, told stories, and definitely educated us on each dish. Since we did the Chef’s counter, we received an additional 3 surprise dishes along with the standard 10 dishes on the tasting menu. By the Panna Cotta, we were stuffed. I added the wine pairing to my experience and EVERY wine was delicious. Tyler did a great job explaining the wines and why they pair well with each dish. (And they did. Fabulously.) As someone who recently has taken an interest in food and cooking, this was an absolutely unreal meal. I cried on the way home. I’m gonna think about tallow poached swordfish for weeks. Chef James, Chef Steven, Chef Yung Sea Urchin, and especially Chef Adam - thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your menu was beautiful and delicious. I am grateful to have experienced it. Go to Koko Ni for your next special occasion. Order the Carrot cocktail. You won’t regret it.

If I could give 6 stars for food and service I would. This special place was our Christmas Eve tradition meal this year. It surpassed all our expectations and my husband was very happy despite it being a “fancy tasting menu”. My MIL is a pescatarian and they were able to sub out any non-fish courses for her. Our Somm and server(s) were great, very chill gents. Not snooty or stuffy. I will let the food pics speak for themselves instead of going on and on with words. We’ll be back (at the chef’s counter next time!) Thank you for a lovely evening. If I had a single “complaint” it would have been that the apples could have been in smaller chunks in the panna cotta since it was such a sublime dessert.

Hunger games? Every dish was amazing but the micro quantity served was almost like a cruel joke. We were told to order entrees and appetizers to share but one entree was just one lamb chop. How do you share 1 lamb chop? The service was great - friendly and knowledgeable. Despite spending several hundred dollars on the dinner, we all left starving and went home to eat.
