Koi Japanese Hibachi & Sushi

This was my first time dining in the restaurant. The experience was good, the food that was prepared in the kitchen versus the food prepared in front of us wasn’t as tasteful. The cook was great and we all enjoyed my Niece’s birthday !! Thank you Dietary restrictions: I didn’t see on the menu for options for people with food restrictions as myself. This wasn’t a problem for me I have learned to adjust. But seeing the options on the menu would have been great. I have a very strict no seasoning diet.

Waitresses are very kind and funny!! Always attentive!

Good food and great service. It's a little more pricey than some of the other Japanese restaurants nearby. If you dine in, not at a hibachi table, then portions are a little smaller.

We dined at Koi Saturday evening February 3rd 2024. We had family from out of town visiting, and wanted to have a nice dinner out. We arrived at 6 waited approximately 20 minutes to be seated with our party of 7, not to terribly bad of a wait time. Everything after this was a absolute nightmare. We ordered promptly wasn't even a complicated order 3 chicken hibachi, 2 with no vegetable. 1 of the dinner for 2 both no vegetable. Lastly 3 sushi rolls. The sushi arrived not long after the drinks arrived. While everyone else waited almost a hour just to get our salads. While watching all the other tables with parties as large as ours, that got seated after ours recieve their entrees. Of course we questioned this and brought it to or servers attention, he apologized, noone offered any compensation for the 2 and half hours it took us to get our food, no manager came out to speak to us, nothing. The food was over cooked the shrimp on the koi for 2, was rubbery, and the hibachi chicken was dry. I would not recommend this place. Augusta has alot of hibachi type places, that are better priced, better food, that actually appreciate your business. Don't waste your time on this one.

Food was great, nice atmosphere. A little pricey compared to some others. But my son loved the restaurant. Will definitely be back.
