The fish was bad- tasted metallic. Told the server about it and she refused to believe it or offer an alternative and did not take it off my bill. Disappointing to pay for food that was not good or eaten.
This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I'm so sad they are closing, but so happy I got to go one last time. I hope to visit the LoHi location in the future.
The second round of sushi we ordered took over an hour from the time of finishing the first round and the restaurant was nearly empty. The manager didn’t even notice us when we came in or offer to help. When we brought the long wait to the managers attention that we had been waiting an hour, they shrugged it off.
Genuinely the best food you'll ever have. The tea room was gorgeous and fun experience. Staff was amazing.
Amazing service and food. Our server from Japan was extremely friendly and enjoyed talking to us about Japanese culture and history after we told him we will be visiting the country for the first time. He wasn‘t lying when he talked about how delicious many of their menu items are. Best miso soup I‘ve had, and the sushi was outstanding.
Got greeted rudely by, whom I believe was the manager and the server not being available for long periods of time (30min in one occasion). Left a small tip because of mediocre service. Got a call from same manager to ask why my tip was low and after I told her it wasn’t just the server but also her attitude towards us she acted shocked and hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional! Needless to say that’s the last time I will be going.
I was charged 25 dollars for two pieces of nigiri with half cooked rice and overcooked toro which is also as thin as a piece of leaf. And of course they tell you this is “market price”.
Had a wonderful time! The food was amazing with a friendly, knowledgeable server. Go there! You will love it!
