Kobako Katsu

Ordered the Texas Size katsu today. For myself to eat. That is 1 person with 1 US bred, Asian sized stomach. There were no indication in the menu and its photo that this dish lives up to its name. How does one person eat all this??? I was indeed hungry but I'm also not a bear. In hindsight, I would had gotten a regular sized meal with a thicker cut of protein instead. I can see how this could be a shared meal and a heck of a deal in comparison though the amount of rice for this much meat is a bit off. It's also thin like a schnitzel and the sauce was a tad fruitier than a Japanese katsu sauce. The amount of stares and wonder it brought to others was worth it. Ate a fifth of it and took the rest to go.

My family and I ordered the katsu combo and the beef donburi bowl. The katsu and fries were tender and crispy, the beef donburi was perfect, it had rice, salad, and beef enough for two people. The large food portion compared to the price was crazy.

FOOD POISONING!!!!!! my boyfriend and i both ordered chicken katsu only to wake up at 5am with cramping stomachs and pounding headaches followed by vomiting. This is the second time we’ve eaten here and the first time something didn’t taste right. avoid this place.

The food is some of my favorite in Austin. The pork katsu is so tender. I normally don’t eat left overs because I think they taste gross with the fridge taste, but they give so much food for the price you’re bound to have left overs. I put mine in the air fryer and it’s still just as delicious as when I first got it. I cannot begin to tell you how good this place is. This place is a must try. As a chef , I appreciate the amount of consideration in the plating, it’s absolutely beautiful.

Best Sticky rice of my life! Excellent cutlets. Everyone nice. We did go during a time of zero crowd. Staff was nice, place was clean, and wonderful choices everywhere.

We ordered delivery and the food was amazing! There was more than expected, so the price was well worth it. Katsu is one of my favorite dishes and it came with everything you would expect. Very nice and tasty. It satisfied my craving :) Thank you for the Katsu! Can't wait to order again.

그냥 돈까스가 엄청 두꺼워요 양도 진짜 많구요. 어쩌면 약간 퍽퍽할 수 있지만 괜찮아요. 치즈는 시도해봤는데 약간 질겼어요.. 돈까스가 더 좋아요.

The katsu was bomb, but the amount of mac they provide as a side is laughable - literally 7 macs. idk why they even offer it as a side lol.

First off, the service. The service was fantastic! The person that took my order was very helpful and kind! The food is worth ten stars! The katsu was soooooo tender and utterly delicious! I got the A6 katsu and it is beyond mouth watering! All of the fixins it came with made a lovely compliment to the dish. The amount of food it came with is insane! That paired with the quality, I will definitely be back!!!!
