I came here with my aunt and we had a fantastic experience. Everything was wonderful and amazing. They did over salt my first steak, but were very quick to fix it and had a new steak out right away that was perfect! The desserts were definitely the best part aside from the wonder server we had that evening.

Truly, the hospitality here has been above and beyond. As a hospitality leader, and business traveler I often find myself disappointed in restaurants over the past few years because many establishments have lost the art of service.. Not the team at The Knife! Every touch point was thoughtful, each interaction was meaningful and the culinary team remembered I committed to coming back to dine a second night and actually made a point to engage with me when I did return. DO NOT miss this gem when staying near SMU! It’s not your average hotel restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cheers Chef and team!

I recently stayed at the Highland Curio Collection by Hilton in Dallas during a work trip with my company, LVMH, for two nights and three days. I had a disheartening experience at your restaurant, The Knife, and felt compelled to share my disappointment. Upon approaching the host to request a table for four, I was denied seating based on the perception that my attire was too casual. My outfit, a suede mod 60’s inspired dress with knee-high boots and gold accessories, was mistaken for a t-shirt. The host immediately dismissed my request and claimed that her manager wouldn't allow me in. She suggested sitting at the bar, assuring me it had the same menu as the dining room. Seeking clarification, I requested to speak with the manager, who took over 10 minutes to address the situation. To my surprise, he acknowledged that my outfit had been inaccurately described to him and granted me permission to dine. However, the entire incident left me feeling upset, hurt, and embarrassed. Inquiring about a dress code, the manager mentioned a website posting that I couldn't find upon checking later. Disheartened by the experience, my coworkers and I chose to dine elsewhere. Upon returning to our rooms, everyone was excited to find a bottle of champagne and a handwritten note, except for me. It's disappointing to be the only one excluded from this gesture of apology. As a professional and a black woman, I expect fair and equal treatment in any establishment. Unfortunately, my experience at The Knife fell short of those expectations. As the only black person in my group, I can’t help but feel as if I was singled out because of it, and then confirmed after excluded from their gesture of apology.

I had added on the reservation that only had counter seating available that we would have preferred a table but we were seated at the counter with plenty of tables available. Next we ordered drinks - one of their featured and a dirty martini. The drinks were the best. Then we tried ordering appetizers but were told we had to order the complete meal all at once. Alberto offered to bring the manager over to explain but we went ahead and ordered. Not sure if this is asked of all customers. This has never been my experience in all Dallas steakhouses. We ordered the bone marrow with caviar and lamb meatballs and two of their 32oz 60 day aged steaks in bone from different farms cooked medium with the Mac and cheese, braised carrots and salsa verde fries. Overall food was phenomenal but as a result of some of the experience probably won’t return. For dessert it was like a deconstructed bananas flambé. Extensive wine list. Service was good - had to ask for bread which appeared they were rationing. So had to ask directly for the biscuits. A little pricey for the experience but it was worth it because of the steaks.

Came to have the dry aged . But the price was not same as in the online . Probably market price difference. Had their 28 oz rib eye , onion rings and chimmichurri sauce . Perfect cook all through on the steak . I did a medium . The onion rings were not evenly seasoned some even not seasoned The chimmichurri was out of this world . They bought the bill in an envelope ??? Vegetarian options: Not much other than cheese sandwich Parking: Parking is in the highland area

We were there for brunch. I felt like it was a little pricey. But, I wasn’t the one paying. The service was very good. We had a wonderful lady, who was very attentive. The atmosphere was a bit stiff. In my opinion would I go back? Yeah. As long as somebody else is paying.

I chose Knife for a special dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the ambiance to the food, every aspect of our evening was memorable. The dining area at Knife perfectly encapsulates an energetic yet intimate atmosphere. The music, carefully selected and played at just the right volume, enhanced our dining experience without overpowering our conversation. This thoughtful balance contributed greatly to the pleasant and engaging environment. Our server, Alberto, was a standout. His friendly demeanor, combined with his attentiveness and extensive knowledge about the steaks, significantly elevated our dining experience. His expertise in explaining the different cuts and preparations made choosing our meal both educational and enjoyable. For our main course, my wife and I each indulged in the 6oz petite filet, which was cooked to perfection. The John’s Mac and Cheese and roasted carrots were our chosen sides, and they complemented the steaks beautifully. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, while the carrots added a lovely roasted flavor to the meal. The highlight of the evening was the birthday dessert, a beautifully crafted white sponge cake soaked in blueberry, with a middle layer of passion fruit panna cotta and a top of vanilla custard. This dessert was not just a treat for the taste buds but also a work of art. It was incredibly delicious, and I was lucky enough to share it with my wife. In summary, Knife provided an exceptional dining experience. The combination of a great atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, exquisitely prepared food, and a standout birthday dessert made our celebration truly special. Knife is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where special moments are made even more memorable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to celebrate an occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic meal.

The burger was on an English muffin. Amazingly, it's the perfect size. I got the burger cooked medium, and it was delicious and juicy. The bacon was cooked just crispy . I wish the tomato had been cut thicker, but that's my preference. Omg the salsa Verde fries were absolutely perfect, no ketchup needed!
