OK absolute fav place in Chicago for Ramen I dont think this place gets the hype it deserves. literally made a Miso pun to the server "Miso hungry!" and she thought it was a riot, so props for that. The ambiance is great everytime I've been (yes I have happily been here like 10+ times and get excited every time to eat their food). They sometimes project a studio ghibli movie on the wall which I love to watch, I think sometimes some anime as well. One time they played Niki Minaj though, which is very not cash money-- made my ramen taste weird (not actually I just dont like her). I literally will never doordash this place because I love going so much. The food is literally the best I think I've tried almost everything on the menu. Parking: Milwaukee sucks to park during peak times but very close to blue line if you prefer to public transit.
Food was great. But service was extremely slow (not sure if they were understaffed) and the music randomly got turned up super loud and was playing heavy metal / rock (Down with the Sickness) which I don’t mind at all but the volume was too loud to even have a conversation.
Great neighborhood ramen spot! Spicy Tonkotsu is the best!
Mizuki is my go to Ramen spot in Wicker Park! Their menu is all good, and they've never been out of even their limited options. The service can be a tad slow during busy hours. Would recommend locals and tourists visit for their Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen.
We got there and wanted a beer. They were out. Then our party of 7 ordered. They came back to tell us that they were also out of chicken broth. We watched as 2 tables who were seated after us were fed. Then half of our food came out, and the rest of us waited another 20 minutes to eat, whilst other people seated after us were also eating. There was absolutely nothing offered to us in the way of apology. There's another ramen place in the neighborhood. Go there.
The food was delicious, especially the ramen. I would definitely recommend it, along with the sake.
It seemed like they were understaffed (even though there were empty tables) and so we waited for more than 35 minutes just to get seated. Once we got a table the service was better and the food was good.
The ramen and chicken wings were soo good!! The service was great too! Definitely a must visit resto here in Wicker Park
