Just go for the almond danish
False advertising, lousy food, and abysmal service; this place has it all! Came in to get some breakfast to go with a friend and we both got french toast. On the menu on the wall french toast was advertised as being $8. When we paid, the french toast was actually $18 per order. We asked why there was such a massive price difference between what was charged and what was shown on the menu and why the menu had not been updated appropriately. We were told to speak to the manager if we didn't like the prices and how they were marked on their menu. After that interaction I was hoping that at least the food would live up to the lofty price point. The french toast was dry, and pretty tasteless for something that was supposed to be super sweet. It wasn't necessarily bad, it would've been worth the $8 advertised on the menu. But it was at $18 which was way too much. I've genuinely had better french toast at IHOP and Denny's for a fraction of the price. Save your time and money and DON'T go here.
What a fantastic place to stop by for brunch!! It was super busy but the service was friendly and relatively speedy all things considered. I love the little goat cheese puffs they serve with some of the dishes, though they are a little on the salty side for me. The bread and pastry basket was delicious, and the quiche was so good. I also really liked the contemporary decor. I would definitely recommend for a tasty weekend breakfast or brunch!!
I went brunch here about a month ago on a Saturday by myself. I usually order out if I am by myself, but I wanted to eat out today and I appreciate they did not make me wait for a table for two. There were no tables left for two so they gave me a table for four, which I appreciate greatly. However, they were very understaffed - it seemed like there was one waiter for the whole inside of the restaurant and people were getting inpatient with him. I hope they are working to improve the staffing concerns.
Now closed. WAS A great place to sit down and have a cuppa or enjoy some fine tasty food. However, they've closed their doors. Sad. Another wonderful place that has suffered from the economic changes from Covid.
Not great. Came here at 1pm on a Saturday. I ordered bacon and eggs for $19. When the food came out 20 minutes later the bacon was half burnt and half undercooked. My friend’s quiche was burnt. Very few people here for brunch hours, I see why now.
Place was closed when Google maps said it was open
RIP, and thank you for the best bread in NYC, you’ll be missed!
