Went to lunch for restaurant week. Food was great and the chef was very nice when explaining each piece, but the piece was quite small compared to other omakase places I’ve been to. Considering that it is restaurant week and we dined at a discount, it was still a good deal, however slightly bigger portions would have made it a very pleasant dining experience. Service was good but felt rushed, and a little bit of room to breathe after all the food was served would have been nice.
Visiting from Florida and happen to be in NYC for Restaurant week. Came across Kintsugi and tried to reserve a seat for nearly a month and was lucky enough to get one through the waitlist. The dining experience was worth the effort to get a seat. Chef Victor was great and the Omakase sushi pieces were phenomenal. The best was the seared Alaskan Cod served on sushi rice that was mixed with egg yolk. Definitely want to stop by again whenever I'm in NYC.
Loved the decor and the use of kintsugi plates. The front of house was really attentive and pleasant, the chefs were skilled and I appreciate the effort put into each dish. However, I think this omakase is a little pricey. I did the 16 course which came up to almost 200 a person, I've definitely had cheaper for more value. My main complaint is the rice - it was personally too vinegary for me and took away from the taste of the fish.
Tasteful and well executed menu. Efficient chef and manager. Very nice overall experience.
Visited here to take advantage of a Restaurant Week promotion. It was as delicious as the sushi I eat in Japan. However, even though I arrived on time, I had to wait for 30 minutes.
I hope the New York Health Department thoroughly inspects their hygiene!
빵이 매우 맛있어요. 가격 대비 음식의 양이 넉넉해요.
Great experience during restaurant week, first time trying out omakase! Would definitely come back again for a special occasion
Did Restaurant week, and it was a great deal (especially with the sake pairing)
