Really decent good - customer service is decent - clean place - need code to use the bathroom- have to share tables with other patrons - I would recommend - great place for vegans
Paitan Red Chicken is the best bowl of ramen I’ve had in Oregon. 10/10 coming back. Spicy but not too spicy, more of a flavor than a kick. Reasonably priced (relatively speaking, many PDX places are $19-22 for a bowl of ramen). The employee was really great. I asked her opinion on two bowls and got the Paitan Red Chicken based off of her advice. Not much seating room inside, you’ll be sharing long tables with ppl - could be worse, at least we’re indoors. If it’s raining it will be packed, be prepared to sit outside. Not an issue on a sunny day though.
Favorite ramen spot ive found in portland, if they bought the restraunt connected to them to create more indoor seating id give 5 stars
Pretty mid, as the kids would say. Pork broth was without much flavor, and serving it with one tiny piece of pork belly and half of a soft-boiled egg is pretty weak. Really, a whole egg is too much? C’mon. $10 for 5 micro pieces of gyoza is a bit steep as well. 3 stars for the $6 draft beer and the small side curry which was the highlight of the meal.
Food was delicious - loved the spicy tonkatsu broth. However, food portions to go were too small for the price.

Delicious spot for ramen. Service was quick and everyone was helpful and friendly. They had a couple seasonal dishes in addition to the regular menu. Good selection of sake and beer too.
My vote for best ramen in Portland
