Killer Noodle Tsujita - Houston

People are sleeping on tsujita. It’s great in LA and it’s great here. I keep coming back. Broth is flavorful, noodles are chewy and fresh. I usually get tonkotsu but I’ve had their downtown and Tokyo - both are rich and boosted with peanut butter, sesame, and sichuan.

The noodles were solid quality but the broth was a bit unbalanced. It starts out heavy on the peanut flavor and gets more Sichuan pepper flavored over time. Food was decent. Service was fine. Bathroom was not clean. The basics were clean but there was a gross funk around the edge of the floor. Sloppy mopping and not an effort to be clean. With all white tile it's a total turnoff if you're there though because it's an easy fix. If they don't do the easy fix to make sure the bathroom is not obviously dirty, what is happening in the kitchen? Parking was a challenge. I'm all for encouraging more people to come via other modes of transport so they should promote that. Tell folks the bus lines to use to reach your location since there's not sufficient parking.

Came visiting from Dallas. Food was ok. Service was horrible. Came in and ordered a specific drink then was told during the mid dinner that they were out when asking for a refill. Nevertheless we asked for another option due to them running out and was told we were going to be charged for them running out… Won’t be back… and to the so called night manager who is not the manager.. keep your hand out your pants when serving.

Wife and I love this place. They haven’t been open too long so it took them a little while to dial in their menu, but now it’s great. The downtown ramen is amazing. I could drink that broth all day. The kaarage chicken and the pork dumplings with chili sauce are delicious. The only thing I would like to see is a customized spice level. I love super spicy food so maybe they could throw in some extra chili oil or something.

Killer Noodle has a really nice atmosphere inside along with great service. The ramen is ok, but I didn’t enjoy it. I had seen raving reviews for it, however, it didn’t live up to the standard. I had the Tokyo Ramen. The pork had a strange taste to it, not a bad taste, but just didn’t taste like good char siu pork. They were very adamant about no substitutions but that they were ok with you removing things which was a weird thing to bring up. Overall I’d say it’s an ok spot for ramen, but there are way better places to go in Houston.
