KIFF KAFE | Coffee Shop & Restaurant in West LA

This place deserves more credit. Everyone knows the cafe is amazing, great coffee, sandwiches, salads and breakfast. But do not miss out on By the Fire at Kiff during the evening! The owner Eric is a great guy and very interesting conversationalist. But chef Stephan runs the night shift and he is cooking amazing barbecued meats and vegetables. We ordered the BBQ chicken and Ribeye steak. Both were cooked perfectly and had great natural flavor. The Brussel sprouts and potatoes were cooked amazingly it was a great compliment to the meal. I enjoyed my steak with a fine glass of Bordeaux and my date had a cappuccino with her meal. This place has a beautiful atmosphere and perfect for any occasion. The chicken was priced at $18 and the ribeye steak was $35. Both sides were $8 a la carte. Please tell me where you can find a steak this good for $35!!!! Great value and quality. I’m so impressed with his place. Must be one of the best kept secrets in Los Angeles.

I feel bad for giving a bad review, since the people there were extremely nice. But I have never eaten a burger so expensive and horrible in my life. I was so frustrated that I almost cried. I couldn't eat it, so I brought half of it to my husband who also said that he had never eaten something so bad before. Also, I had looked at pictures and reviews and didn't find the information that after a certain time in the evening the food is just from the grill outside. So it was frustration after frustration. The decoration is cozy. The staff is super friendly. I wish the food was worth coming back, but unfortunately, not.

Went there yesterday noon, a Wednesday. An open sign was sitting outside. But door was closed and no one inside. No msg on website or Facebook either about closure. Was looking forward.

Don’t judge this place all though it looks bad the food service and atmosphere is astronomical never have I had food this good. Only down side is dinner is only open Wednesday to Saturday 5pm to 9pm

Amazing! Delicious and healthy (yet comforting) food, pleasant and casual atmosphere. What a gem!
