Kick Ass Greyfriars

It gets the job done! Classic Euro hostel vibes, incredible location, and all the services you need. I did laundry here and it’s quite easy with the app. The bar area can get pretty rowdy at night but never too crazy. Menu was pretty typical pub food. Breakfast looked quite basic but why would you buy that when there are so many great places out in town? Once you walk out the front door you get a great view of the castle and within a few minutes you’re at the major tourist spots like Grassmarket or the main museum. Standard bunk rooms and the bathrooms worked out well even as mostly mixed gender. Folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

Insgesamt ein guter Ort, um in Edinburgh zu bleiben. Die Lage ist zentral, Bäder werden täglich gereinigt und das Personal war freundlich. Leider waren die Zimmer sehr warm, da man die Heizung nicht einstellen und die Fenster nicht öffnen könnte. Außerdem war das 6-Bett-Zimmer etwas eng, sodass man Schwierigkeiten hatte sein Gepäck sowie Jacken abzulegen. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach und für den Preis gab es zu wenig Auswahl.

Nice hostel, good location, good beds, for the time I was there the cleaning staff was cleaning the bathroom at least once a day and in general I had a good experience. Rooms are too small though, for 6 people there is barely space to move, also the room itself was sometimes too hot. Another issue to mention, breakfast was a bit disappointing, really few options.

Honestly lovely staff, had such a great time and got to meet some lovely people during my stay. Will definitely return ‍↕️

Great hostel stayed as a stag group of 40. Was brilliant super location.

Nice hostel, we took the one with 6 beds in the room. Cosy, warm and close to the city centre. Rooms: Brilliant and comfy rooms. Has a bedside light, with charger beside. Toilets/showers are very clean.
