Khong Thai Cuisine

Amazing food! We had eaten here shortly after they opened a few years ago. Food was ok back then but under new ownership the food is amazing. We ordered a bunch of things. Curry puffs, Thai spicy noodles, gang panag, and lar nar. For 2 people it was a ton of food but we wanted a sampling of our favorite. Everything was spectacular. Khong Thai has quickly become my favorite Thai food in the city. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: A lot of dishes has you select the protein you would like. Tofu is an option, or you could probably go without protein. I am not vegetarian but love Thai food because of the vegetables. Khong Thai seems very accommodating.

The food is extraordinarily bland and ordinary. This is the quality you’d expect from a mall food court or a school cafeteria. I personally love Thai food, and I will definitely not be back.

We went for lunch on a weekday. It was busy so we had seats at the counter. We ordered fresh shrimp roll, chicken pad khi mou, eggplant, shrimp lad na & mango sticky rice. We were kindly given fried veggie spring roll on the house. We requested the pad khi mou & eggplant & ladna to be spicy 3-4 fists, and it was sufficiently hot. Temperature wise all dishes came out piping hot. All mains were generously portioned, lots of chicken/ shrimp & veggies which were fresh & well cooked, well seasoned. I enjoyed the veg spring roll more than the fresh one. The mango sticky rice was disappointing though. Rice gluggy & very little mango. Service was fast & attentive. There was a surprise lunchtime discount of $5 on each main. We were full & had plenty leftovers. Would come again but perhaps a little before lunchtime rush. Vegetarian options: Seems like most if not all dishes can be made vegetarian Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly as its a small restaurant. We had a baby in wrap so that worked for us.

2nd attempt here, much more chicken in the Gang Dang than the Gheng Keo Wahn. Curry 10/10. Chicken 7/10

This is my favorite Thai food spot in Rochester. Their flavors are spot on (delicious Thai) and portions are good. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is casual and understated. They are very accommodating to lunch timing (I often call ahead due to short lunch break at work), and they have always been ready on my stated timing. Staff is very kind. I would feel very comfortable taking my 6 y/o son here.

Delicious Thai cuisine at a reasonable price. Not my favorite for pad Thai but every other menu item is amazing. Super friendly staff, too
