I'm sorry I stopped eating. Out of everything I ordered, only the bread has been made now. The rest of the preparations were reheated. Bland and cold meat, chicken meat with blood in it, staff treated me abominably. I do not recommend to anyone.
We visited Kebabish for an iftar meal, arriving 30 minutes before and promptly placing our order to be ready for 8:05pm the time of iftar. While we received our starter without issue, the main course was significantly delayed. It wasn’t until every other person who came after us received their whole order I decided to politely enquire about the status of our order. The waiter came back looking confused and said it would take five minutes, we were then avoided by staff members until our food was served which was ultimately 20 minutes later. This meant we were served our mains 40 minutes after our starter and one hour after the order was placed. The blonde waiter who eventually served our food neglected to apologize for the delay. When I asked about the extended wait in a polite manner, he responded defensively, did not let me speak at all, and avoided eye contact, citing that it was because we had ordered a starter... This explanation was illogical, considering we were among the first customers in the restaurant and surely not the only ones who ordered a starter in the WHOLE RESTAURANT. When I finally managed to speak after the waiter's rehearsed justification (especially as it was a different waiter from the man who served us prior) I said it would have been helpful to be asked if we preferred our starter served before or with our meal. When I suggested that, the waiter indicated he would query it with the staff who took our order. Unfortunately, he then avoided further interaction with us, and no one else inquired about the quality of our meal or if we required anything additional. While the food itself was satisfactory, the overall service fell short of expectations. As a long-time customer of Kebabish, I was extremely disappointed by this experience and will not be recommending the establishment. It is ridiculous and unprofessional for the staff to blame us for the one-hour delay in our mains from when the order was placed simply because we ordered a starter. Instead simple gestures such as an apology, acknowledgment of the delay, or even a small gesture of goodwill, such as a discount or complimentary fruit due to our fasting state, would have gone a long way in mitigating our dissatisfaction. This experience has left a lasting impression, and I hope Kebabish takes necessary steps to address these issues and improve their service standards in the future.
