Stumbled upon k bap. It was so delicious! The food was fresh and hot. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly. So sweet to our 3 year old! Highly recommended. Might go back for lunch tomorrow. Thanks K-Bap!
The service was really nice. I can’t really complain on that end. It’s just the food was quite mediocre, which honestly made us sad. We were expecting tasty Korean food, and what we got was so bland, we couldn’t even really enjoy it. It’s also expensive for what it is.
Very tiny place but the food was delicious and the staff was incredible. She was super helpful explaining what was and wasn't safe for my shellfish allergy and made suggestions accordingly. She was so sweet answering my kid's questions too and helped them pick out a dish they ended up loving (Japchae chicken teriyaki).
Ambiance (3/5): The inside is warm and cozy with a couple of dining tables. There is both counter ordering and seated service. The lighting is more on the dark side but no volume/music that you can hear. The table I sat at was sticky to touch. Service (4/5): The staff was courteous and literally jogged to get your food/requests. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. Bulgogi Bento Box (1/5): The lunch bulgogi bento box totaled to $18.45 (including tax)! This was not worth that cost at all. The bulgogi beef was low quality--it was dry and tough to chew. It lacked sauce and needed a side of hot sauce to rescue it. There was a slight sweetness and not enough saltiness/flavor.
Was craving some soy garlic wings and bulgogi and they delivered. Got the bulgogi box that gave me a sample of everything and the wings was tender and full of flavor.
The food was amazing! I got scallion pancakes and veggie japchae that were both delicious! Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Vegetarian options: The kimchi has fish oil/ sauce in it, which I don’t eat. That was mildly disappointing but it was still super good.
TL;DR. 7/10 food good for takeout, probably skip if you're dining in. Came here based on good reviews. Would probably be a solid lunch spot, but wouldn't recommend for dine in dinner. Upon arriving we were told we'd have to wait 10-20 minutes for a table, despite multiple being open but "reserved" (these tables were empty our entire meal). We pointed out an open space along the wall and were allowed to sit there. Food arrived relatively quickly but probably a bit slower than one would expect considering both of our dishes were obviously pre-prepared (which I don't knock at all from a quality perspective); however, one of our dishes being served in a to-go container was a bit odd even for bento.
