I visited NYC in 2003 and enjoyed Katz so much it was absolutely out of this world. The best pastrami of my entire life! Returned home and told my boss about it. He told me to spend a little over $100 which at that time was considerable, and order some deli meats etc and have Katz fly it to us. I called Katz and placed the order. Told them how awesome their business is! To our surprise we received the large package of the very finest, and a note that said "No Charge"! Best delicatessen on Earth. I wish them all the very best always.

I've previously visited and would rate the food as truly five-star. However, during my most recent visit, I brought my entire family to Katz, only to find they had closed their doors 30 minutes prior to their scheduled closing time listed on Google. This unexpected early closure resulted in a wasted $60 taxi fare. I hope they can update their actual operating hours on Google and other platforms to prevent any future inconvenience.

It’s everything they say it is and more. The downside is the line to get in, however, it moves fairly quickly and the service is very efficient making the total wait time not that bad. I would recommend this as a must go for anyone in NYC that loves a good meat sandwich.
