I won’t recommend this place if you like to eat tasty food…. I ordered 3 tips of sushi and all off them were the same taste. This place is a big NO
Avoid katsuya at all costs. this restaurant puts their staff (particularly young female workers) through what is a demeaning and dangerous work environment. My younger sister was employed here for 4 months, during which she was verbally assaulted, physically threatened, and made to feel small. She was harassed by an older male member of staff, and when she continuously reported the behavior nothing was done. This man still works at Katsuya and poses a threat to the girls he works with everyday. It’s truly disgusting. Do not support this business.
pretty sad display for takeout
We went on a Saturday night for dinner and had the tasting experience at 80$ a head. With a side of Edamame peas. The food was delicious and took you through their menu ending with a delicious dessert. Would definitely recommend trying this. The staff were lovely and we sat watching the chefs prepare the food. The cocktail menu was great and the restaurant was really buzzing. You need to book a table before. Wine was a bit expensive would be the only criticism
Overall, it was a great experience.
Fire times, food is pretty nice
Love this place, great vibe, great seevice, delicious fresh fish beautifully prepared wonderful pretheatre treat!
WOW, our 1st time here, the food & service were off the charts, and we'll definitely be back. The flavors and sauces were incredible, my son ordered most of the food, so I can't tell you exactly what we ate. The popcorn shrimp was amazing, the cut rolls were absolutely delicious, and everything was tremendous. This ain't your parents' sushi bar, it's very upscale and expensive. Only thing that left a bad taste was the 5% LA surcharge, which the restaurant owner passes their employees' health care onto their customers. Elections have consequences. Vegetarian options: 1st of all, why would a vegetarian waste money going to a premium sushi restaurant, just stay home and eat celery sticks. Parking: It's Hollywood, it's packed, so parking is expensive and a challenge. There is 2 hour metered street parking, LA meter maids are quick to write tickets, so don't let the meter expire. Kid-friendliness: This is an upscale place. If you haven't trained your kids to behave in public and act like a human being, rather than allowing them to be out of control wild animals, don't bring them here. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access
