I am a fan of Indian food, and Karahi was one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever visited. The food is delicious, the wait times are minimal, and the prices are reasonable for such a central location in Manhattan, near the Theater District. Typically, we don’t dine at the same place twice when traveling, but we made an exception for Karahi because we wanted to taste more items on their menu. I will definitely visit them again next time when I’m in NYC.
Ordered the vegetable biryani. Nope, not at all authentic. It's like the mushiest rice with no fundamentals of a biryani. Its very much americanised. Would not recommend this place at all.
Best Indian food in the city handsdown. The owner is an Indian guy who serves really authentic Indian food, with lots of love and care. It is my go to place anytime I want to take guests for authentic Indian food as well as order-in good food. The portions, the taste and the hospitality - they’re all amazing. This place deserves more love and recognition!
I recommend their lamb karahi gosht and the coconut naan + a salty lassi. I love the food here, I have been many times :)
Best food I’ve had in a very long time! Chicken melts in your mouth, flavors are great, owner is so, so kind! Would give 6 stars if I could.
Amazing food!!! The The owner was really really nice and the atmosphere is great also.
A little chilly with the curtains open. Good food, with interesting spices. Kind owner / manager.
