I'm around this hood ~2x per year. Never been, first time, AWESOME. Excellent late night menu too....an izakaya with oden and sushi...?

I went there for lunch after work. It's a very cozy place, with delicious food and nice staff. I should note that all the ingredients are very fresh. Everything was so tasty that I forgot to take a picture, I will definitely do so when I come next time. Highly recommended

I have tried almost everything on the menu. I love Kaoru. However, the miso tonkastsu NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE DURING DAYTIME HOURS. I cannot wait until nighttime to eat this amazing, decadent dish. Thank you. Please.

Super fresh seafood and even better karaage! Classic Japanese environs with very nice wait staff. Throw in the super cold beer and it's a perfect meal!!

First off the sweet potato fries are tempura battered and fried, possibly the most unexpected yet BEST take of sweet potato fries I’ve had. Definitely get those, you will not be disappointed. The sushi bowls are a favorite, with an assortment of fresh quality fish and rice splashed with the perfect amount of rice vinegar. A cozy, relaxed atmosphere that you can bring a date to, or have a meeting. The servers are polite and attentive in a traditional Japanese style. The manager has great recommendations and is attentive. Unagi and three amigos bowls are my personal favorites. Get the spicy mayo!

Quiet setting and excellent food. The fried stripe bass set would be worth returning for.
