We ordered take out last night and we were so disappointed at the size of the sushi. We ordered a California roll and there was barely any crab inside, mostly avocado. We paid $60 for 3 items on the menu and the portions were soooo small I was on shock. We we’re still hungry after that. The rolls were smaller than the ones you get from Safeway. An absurd! Plus, the rolls didn’t have much flavor. Such a bummer
Best sushi in the Bay area
For the price, the portions were tiny. Rolls were badic and not eorth the price. Wagyu was basic, too, nothing out of the ordinary . The space is awfully small and crowded. Spent 100$ and wasn't full. Went for tacos after. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible whatsoever. The space is too crowded.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, so no matter if its your first time trying sushi or someone who trusts the chef and orders the omakase you'll enjoy your meal here! My usual order is the clam miso soup, the mixed poke, and the smoked sake (salmon) nigiri. For those that like rolls, there's no bad choices here and I try a new one every time I eat in. There's beer on tap too, so get a pitcher of Saporo for the table to kick off the weekend celebration. :) Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and there are some vegan options as well. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of items also are marked if they are gluten free up front, which is nice so you don't have to ask. Chef and the owner are great so you can also likely communicate any other dietary restrictions. Parking: There are spots in front of the business on Grand ave. There are also additional spots on the nearby street Cypress ave.
Great experience all around, delicious food and served quickly, will definitely return for another chicken bento!
Great cozy spot for sushi. They really do care for their work and business. Had an off menu chirashi Don. Uni was fresh and creamy
I love the Wagyu Beef Roll! My husband, daughter and I love to come to this restaurant. The chef is super friendly to us and very accommodating. We try to eat here once a week and never get less in quality. I totally recommend this place for families. We usually get the Saba fish, and the meat roll. Also, the salmon teriyaki is delicious (that’s what our 5-year old eats). Overall it’s worth the time and price. We recommend it.
I came here for the first time and I was not disappointed at all. I had their sashimi platter, and it was beautifully plated. Sushi pieces were smaller than most. It doesn't come with soup, salad, or rice. If they included these , then it'll be perfect.
Came here with my mother and my wife. We tried their $100/per person Omakase selection and it SO FRESH & simply delicious! Every single piece of fish was exquisite! Service was great and friendly as well. We will certainly be back VERY soon!
Absolutely a 10/10 experience. Owner made me and my friends an incredible Thanksgiving meal! Incredible sashimi and rolls!!!
