One of the best out there. Amazing staff. Great food. Staff is energetic, entertaining and so polite.
Went to Ebisu for lunch with a friend and it had been awhile since I've visited this restaurant. The lunch menu was pretty simple, one side of the menu were Bentos that ranged from $16-$18 and the other side was 3 combination meal that was $16 (or each dish is $6). I decided to go with the 3 combination: Yam roll, salmon sashimi & chicken teriyaki. The yam roll was nice, it wasn't overcooked and still had a slight firmness to it, which I prefer. The salmon was nice and fresh and I did enjoy the presentation. The chicken teriyaki had a nice crispy skin, the meat was moist and had the perfect amount of teriyaki sauce. The service was friendly and we didn't wait long for our food, however we did arrive a few minutes after 12 and did notice a few people coming in shortly after us, so it could get busier around 1 or so. It's a perfect spot for a sit down lunch if you have an hour break. 2024/03/21 Went to Kamei on Broadway, formally known as Ebisu, this afternoon for lunch. We didn't have to wait for a seat and usually during this time, everyone is seated in the same area, as if the rest of the restaurant is off limits during lunch hours. The menu is typically the same as it was when it was Ebisu, but the prices have definitely skyrocketed from the last time I was there. Normally bentos during lunch are $9-$12, but these bentos ranged from $17.95-$19.95. Food was good and the service was fast. Just wished they wouldn't have to charge to sub out the California roll, because not everyone is a fan of fake crab, like my friend who I went to lunch with, who just wanted an avocado roll, which is essentially a Cali roll without the crab, but got charged $2-$3 for that. Other than that, it's a decent place to eat if you want to pay a lot.
Great food and even greater vibes. The happy hour menu has amazing deals and they have a new ramen menu with some very tasty options!!
Staff and food were amazing! Truly felt welcomed and taken care of.
Cold Asahi on tap, excellent food, view of the city, and great service!
Excellent food and staff! I am married to a Korean for going on 25 years. I decided to try this restaurant and was amazed with the food and staff.
Nostalgic is the main reason I went to Kamei. My kids got a kick out of it as much as I did. Still descent food. Do not bother with the puny fresh oysters.
We liked the vibe of this place. The service was very good; we tried a new dish but didn’t like it, and the manager was very accommodating and friendly. I really liked their tuna nigiri. Drinks were good too! Thank you, we will be back!
