Where do I start? This place is such hidden gem! Service is fast, and food is delicious. The bartender with long and dark hair worked on Tuesday night probably makes one of the best drinks in Austin! I will definitely come back with more friends. Highly recommend their pepper goat cheese pintxos, and croquetas!
Do one thing right for once in your life, get the cheesecake.
Menu was at only about half of what is shown online, so that was disappointing. We ordered cocktails not on the menu and unbeknownst to us, they were each $21, for not even a top shelf liquor - the 6 cocktail choices on the menu were $16. We tried 3 tapas, and none of them were worth writing home about. The tortilla espanola was undercooked and cold.
Kat sat us quickly and offered us blankets plus a fire pit & comfy chair! Music was oonnn point (funky and chill). Service with Cullen was effortless too! And all of the food (papas bravado, octopus, crudo, sandwich) and cocktails (Marbella gin and tonic and Pamplona) were DELICIOUS! Rock solid Spanish food and vibe.
Great small bite! Amazingly made cocktails and very cool vibe
Came here on my last night in Austin. Food was a 10/10. I ordered two pintxo and we had a few shareable plates. The restaurant was adorable, good service and food was phenomenal. Definitely recommend if you love tapas style!
Overall positive experience! We did sit outside and it was 105 degrees and you could hear the loud music from a restaurant across the street so not the best atmosphere. That being said, the food was great and friendly service. This is definitely a place with small plates and you order a handful of things to share.
I am from Spain and this bar is far from a Spanish bar with Spanish food. The tortilla de patatas is very small and yes, I know it's a pintxo but in Spain they give you a large piece of tortilla with a basket full of bread and all the sauce you want (alioli). The bread with tomato was too burnt. The patatas bravas is the closest thing to real Spanish food but it's still too sweet, and they even add more spices on top when that's not the case. The basque cheesecake same... too small. I was happy there were a "Spanish food" restaurant but this is not, although they do try. The service is fine but they are too insistent, in 5 minutes 3 waiters have come to ask if everything is okay, it's a bit overwhelming. The food is very expensive for what they offer.
Food is just not good. Even with a very limited menu, the quality is sub par. Just doesn’t match the price. Patatas bravas are decent, but sauce is too sweet. Octopus is a joke, can only taste the chicharrón on which it’s served. They have a hamburger on the menu, really?? On the upside, shishito peppers are amazing. The place is really nice, good atmosphere and great service. Shame about the food, we were really pulling for a quality Spanish-tapas joint.
