Kali, is definitely one of the Michelin restaurant you should try. The food was unbelievable amazing, and surprisingly, not very expensive. very affordable Michelin star restaurant. I will definitely go back again. The staff were so nice and friendly. Even we met the owner, chef Kevin. he was very cool, down to earth and friendly with us, the mussel in Crowded Beach was one of the best mussel I’ve ever had before, even we ordered extra more. I would definitely go back again just to try that dish. Also dessert was one of the best delicious dishes that night, we had a very good time there!
Horrible tasting menu. Seafood was disgusting in taste. Price point definitely not worth it. Come if you only care about instagram pictures. We added a sea urchin pasta and that was average as well.
Delicious food, best bartender in LA
I cannot speak highly enough of Chef Kevin Meehan's cuisine. The tasting menu he crafts at Kali is world-class and beautifully represents contemporary Californian gastronomy. Highlights among the eight courses were the crudo and the risotto, but every course contributed memorably to a cohesive journey. It was undoubtedly the most casual fine dining experience I've ever had and I personally would have preferred a more typical ambiance for this level of cuisine, but the relaxed environment helped a friend who was enjoying her first Michelin-rated tasting menu to feel comfortable throughout the evening. My only (minor) complaints would be that several of the earlier courses felt rather rushed, and I also would have liked a more comprehensive and less hurried presentation of the paired wines. We also ordered a bottle (a truly lovely riesling) which was unfortunately presented at room temperature, and our glasses often sat empty for longer than I would have liked. Still, the truly memorable cuisine made the experience worthwhile (and worth coming back to enjoy again), despite these inconsistencies in service.
Absolutely deserve that Michelin star. Everything was amazing. Love the Chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing. Definitely worth it! The desert was my absolute favorite! Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options. The waiter will ask about any dietary restrictions. Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate for any dietary restrictions. Parking: There's plenty of parking around. But to make it easy, just use valet. Only $12. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility.
Meh, expected more for the price tag. The decor was lacking. The food was pretty good. I found the service terrible, moody and condescending for a waiter. My fav part was the wine tasting.
Everything was pretty good except for the fact I could not chew my steak because it is too hard.
Eating at Kali is a memorable experience. From the outside, it is unassuming, but after being greeted by the waiters, the exploration of flavor and texture you will experience will be incredible. Prepare your wallet, but highly recommend this treat.
