I made a booking for a karaoke room for 50 dollars and the cancellation policy was a refund of deposit if cancelled 48 hours before. I called and the people on the phone said they cancelled it and I should receive a confirmation email and a refund. I didn’t review anything, that was 3 days before. I called again 48 hours before to address this issue and they said they would handle it, however I still hadn’t gotten my refund. So I went to the actual place to talk to someone and they gave me a phone number. They were talking to me via text message and first claimed they didn’t talk to me on the phone but I had records of them answering me. They then remembered they were gone the day I called so they said okay we will send you a refund with check. I didn’t want to unofficially send the worker my information and I paid with debit so I wanted my money refunded with the payment method I used. I told them that and they said it wasn’t possible. I left a bad review on the booking website, it was a private review, and they go to say if I delete it they could refund me with my original payment method. So I tell them I can’t delete it and then the person I’m texting with tells me that it was wrong of me to leave a bad review and that I wouldn’t like it if someone talked bad about me. At that point I was in shock because that was plain wrong. I asked them for my money and they still haven’t replied even though they said they could refund me with my original payment method. Book at your own risk!
