I think they really make their food with love here. After enjoying a 3-course meal, I feel more fully & happy than I have in a long time. I got the burger, & it was phenomenal! Our server, Aaron, gave us incredible service as well. I can't wait to dine-in again!
My eldest son has been complaining at me that I should go to junk ditch because they have incredible burgers! He would say this while insulting my typical restaurant choices. Having said that, I expected quite a bit out of this restaurant. I took one of my sons and my wife and all three of us were underwhelmed, to say the least. my wife’s burger was a greasy, messy affair. My sons burger was the same but even worse because he got the fried egg on it but the yolk is still completely runny so it was just a disgusting ball by the time he got halfway through the sandwich.I ordered a black and blue burger and it was just OK. The final bill was quite expensive for what we got. My wife is a french fry aficionado and she didn’t like the fries here either. The wine list seemed overly fussy to me and overpriced. If you like microbrew beers this might be a really nice place to go for you.
We have been to Junk Ditch numerous times and have always enjoyed our visits. We decided to use Junk Ditch to cater our wedding of 90 people. The food was incredible, as always, and we received so many compliments. KJ and the whole team were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We wish we could get married more often!
my sister and i came here for the first time during fortwayne’s vegan week,, the food was STELLAR !! and the service was friendly :-) beautiful lighting and layout as well ! def won’t be the last time visiting !
Love, love, love Junk Ditch. If you are reading this to decide whether or not to go, GO!!! Was there most recently for brunch. So very good. The hot chicken biscuit and the brunch burrito were delightful. The pastry board is a must get also. Drooling all over again while I type this up.
Ordered food to go, beer was great and the pretzel with beer cheese a great snack! The burger was delicious!!
A very disappointing Christmas Eve brunch at Junk Ditch. The beginning was the usually wonderful pastry board. The cinnamon roll and scone lived up to high expectations. The advertised triple chocolate muffin had a nice texture but no discernible flavor. My entree of biscuits and gravy was, well, not good. The biscuits were tough (as they also were on my wife’s entree of chicken and biscuits). So tough they could barely be cut with a knife and they lacked any lightness or fluffiness. The eggs were over hard even though the menu said sunny side up. They were dry and rubbery being so overcooked. The gravy looked promising, but it was thick as paste, barely lukewarm, and had an unrecognizable herb or spice that overpowered the sausage and other flavors. The chicken and biscuits had the same issue with tough unfluffy biscuits and a very tiny and overcooked piece of chicken. Usually Junk Ditch is a reliable hit, but it was a big miss today.
Years ago, my roommate returned from a trip to Indiana with a growler of Junk Ditch beer, and it tasted amazing. Over the course of several years, I tried repeatedly to get in touch with JDB to get more, but they never got back to me. But now I’m sober so it doesn’t really matter.
