Jungsik

My wife and I had a birthday dinner at Jungsik 18 months ago, and still all this time later we regularly joke about the tiny, tiny pours of champagne we were received here when we ordered it as an aperitif. One sip of wine left in the glass? That’s a jungsik pour. Couple of drops of water in the water bottle? That’s two servings at jungsik. Beyond that, meal was nice, somewhat forgettable as the contemporary Korean flavors of the meal we had seemed a lot closer to new american than what we would have thought of as Korean flavors and ingredients, so i guess we learnt something.. but didn’t quite hit the right spot.

From the way the amuse is served, it excites us foodies! It has been a long time since we have had such wonderfully cooked fish. The fire was perfectly cooked and the texture and sweetness of the fish were brought out spectacularly. The meat dishes also uniquely delighted us and did not fail us until the final dessert! The ambiance of the restaurant is also very dainty and wonderful, a perfect place to spend a special evening with your loved ones! Thank you so much!!

I can come back just for kimbap! LOVE IT!

Since it opened in NYC (10+ yrs ago) it has always been an amazing experience. Food is always delicious Service always above and beyond What's not to love?!

The overall experine isbamazing. It starts with something in sour and light sweetness to pump up your taste bud. Then a nice tasting tour starts to fulfill both your stomach and your feelings.

Josh is a great host, he made us feel welcomed and we had a great experience at Jungsik because of him! Cocktails, wine and food. Top notch.

Wow! What an experience. Food was incredible from the very first bite until the last. My favorites included the banchan, kimbap, octopus and desserts! Great flavors and textures - including crispy crusts and soft succulent flesh. I loved all the desserts - including the 'carrot' cake and the truffle cone! We also got the premium wine pairing which was great. The atmosphere chic and calm, great for small groups or couples.

What a vibe

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our second anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and their customer service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
