So I stop by Juan Bertos on my way home tonight. I go through my normal routine whenever I eat at a Mexican Food Restaurant. Whether I've been there before or not I order a Machaca Burrito. And basically that's how I base my whole little review of the restaurant is if my Machaca Burrito performs appropriately for me. By this I mean when does my burrito begin to leak out and if so how much? Out of every Mexican Food Restaurant in San Diego County that I have eaten at, and there have been many although now I will be documenting these visits, not one have I been able to eat my Machaca over my lap in the truck while driving without inevitability getting a lapful of safety fluid. Don't get me wrong though. After like the first time of the Machaca leaking all over my lap, now I just park after the drive thru and hop out and stand to eat. It's okay cause I was in the Marines and those burritos are gone in like, I don't know 7 or 8 bites. In all of my Machaca Burrito travels I have had a myriad of wetness levels. From a few drops total to like "Where in the hell did all this juice come from?" a few ouces total. So anyways, my Machaca Burrito tonite at Juan Bertos almost right away began to leak and probably lost a few tablespoonfuls until I finished it in like 2.5 minutes. Obviously that's okay cause I stayed at the restaurant to eat it at a table. Also I would include that it tasted above average. I would say Juan Bertos gets an 8 out of 10 Chris Machaca Burrito Score. Thank you again Juan Bertos.
