Best brisket sandwich anywhere been going here for years eventhough it's not close was dad to hear they'll be closing soon. So go give em a try before it's too late.

I got some sad news last time i stoped by JRs, the building his restaurant occupies has been sold so he will be closing before the end of the week. Today is 11-13-2022 Years & years ago I stopped in for lunch the Monday before Thanksgiving, while there JR came out to greet people who where eating there. He does this all the time by the way. When he stopped by my table he asked what I was doing on\for Thanksgiving? I'll be 65 in a few weeks so it I do TG'ing it's at a restaurant with Mom. To my surprise JR said if I stopped by on Wedsday in the afternoon he would fix me up with enough food for Mom and me. True to his word, I have turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing and cornbread and from the size of the containers, I'm going to have leftovers... THANKS JR Earlier this year I'm not even sure when I wrote the first part of this review but finally JR has raised his prices, it's 2022 and I asked him at least 5 years ago when he was going to raise his prices well he finally has. I used to pay $12.36 for a sliced pork sandwich, an order of fries and a refillable fountian soda now it's $13.97 with tax, everything else is pretty much the same there's more decorations on the walls to peruse but the food is just as good as it always has been. The mask requirement was lifted yesterday, so it was really nice to see everyone's smiling face . The seating area is very spacious so it's still easy to practice social distancing even if masks are no longer required.

Well sad went today and they are No Longer in business please update this page so people will not waste time driving here for nothing
