My co-workers love this place, but I've had really good hibachi, and sushi, and this place isn't it. It's ok for a quick bite in a cafeteria type setting.
Upon walking in the lady was sitting down eating behind the counter and continued eating even after I reached the counter. I was never greeted (this should have been a red flag to begin) Got my food, ordered Hibachi Steak & Shrimp and it was HORRIBLE, (Just FYI) there’s an up charge if you don’t get Broccoli; it’s been a few years since I ate here and last time my experience was Sub-Par but I decided to give them another chance. Rice seemed 3 days old, Veggies were tasteless and Steak had no flavor. Shrimp was the best part about the plate, even the white sauce was tasteless, worse experience, don’t have to worry about me ever returning to this Joy of Tokyo. Fooled me once, Never Again #thumbsWayyyyDown
Frist time eating here and the last time eating. The lady who took my order didn't washed her hands starts out fixing plates. That was a flag on to the next I ordered an Hibachi salmon brown steamed rice with teaspoon of veggies( that's what I got when I opened my box). I got my order and everything was cold the salmon was warm not hot and fresh. I should had read some of the reviews 13.33 gone Joy of Tokyo please work on your customer service and the food. I should had went to Oriental House would had gotten fresh veggies and hot food.
I guess there’s a new owner or something because they were closed for a while but the food quality was very poor and the white sauce was water down and didn’t taste like white sauce
The food is phenomenal. The customer service is 5 star. I don’t mind spending my money here. I assure you you won’t be disappointed.
