Journey To The Dumpling

Have been here many times and the food quality still top notch compared to a lot of similar restaurants even in Bay Area, average $12-15/ dish very competitive price, recommend beef rolls, stuffed meat bun and steam buns. Hot oil wanton today did not have enough red oil however the servant today is very nice.

Placed felt and looked dirty. Server was mediocre. Food is mid level. Wish I could have experienced this place when they were supposedly a top restaurant in Sacramento. It’s not a bad place to eat, but a journey to a dumpling probably should have the music set and themed and the tv shouldn’t have kids shows on, but I’m probably just out of touch, oh well.

I love their food and am a loyal customer, but if they make a mistake, they won't fix it. I accept it, but I don't like their lack of accountability

This is what a $5.75 drink looks like without ice (before tax). I always ask no ice at every restaurant, and this is the first one to tell me this drink is a "measured drink." And filled it only halfway. I'm not necessarily blaming the staff, I'm more judging whoever placed this rule for the staff to follow. Half of what you're paying for is ice, and this is the proof. The food is great, but I won't bother ordering their drinks anymore.

Great food and atmosphere, very attentive service.

1 1/2 hour wait, place was crowded WAY OVER PRICED for food that had no flavor.. I couldve gone to a reg chinese restaurant and got better food bigger portions and half a 1/4 of the price
