I want to begin with things that are not seen, service, attention to detail, and the atmosphere. Pearl spoons, unique utensils, or in some cases eaten by hand as instructed. Service, no, elevated service is how you take a meal to the next level, this was platinum service. Food, think outside the box, stay true to your cultural flavors, and use the freshest sourced ingredients and now you might know the wonderful experience that can be had.

Absolutely incredible experience! Each course was better than the next. The banh mi was our personal favorite. Madison was really helpful and was easy to talk to. We are excited to visit the Chelsea Market location!!!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joomak Banjum, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The unique combination of dishes and flavors showcased the chef's creativity and skill. The service was top-notch, and the sommelier's recommendations complemented our meal perfectly. The attention to detail and personalized touch added to the overall charm of the evening. A special mention to the chef who took the time to visit our table. Their passion for their craft was evident, and it elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. We can't wait to return. A sincere thank you to the entire team for making our evening truly special. ***Truffle Pasta was the favorite

some of the dishes were amazing, but others fell flat compared to places like jua or kochi. one of which was the loaded potato dessert, which was interesting as a concept but as a dessert was not very tasty. the best thing was the banh mi which seemed more like a tartare to me. quite a few times they labelled dishes like “banh mi” or “jjajangmyeon” but i failed to see the connection due to how little they would have in common with the name. overall good, but compared to similar upscale korean places at similar prices it didn’t wow me.

All of the items on the tasting menu were very well executed. The key lime dessert was phenomenal! The servers were super professional. Probably a bit pricey but that's very likely true of any other restaurant with a Michelin star.

Michelin starred Chinese-Korean cuisine. Probably the most innovative and delicious jjajangmyen I’ve had in a very long time. The desserts were extremely delicious .

Beautiful and delicious food, and a great value tasting menu. The first thing that got my attention was the presentation of the food. It's simply amazing to look at. From the first bite to the last one I was happy to discover that it also tastes great, with high quality interests and excellent preparation. The Korean seasonings are well balanced, never letting one ingredient or sauce dominate. The service was very attentive and explained the food like in a future dining setting, while keeping things fairly relaxed and informal. The amount of food and variety made the 4 course menu a great deal, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the food. I went back 12 months later and the restaurant and the staff kept the magic going. It's a wonderful experience and I'm sure I'll be back.
