We are from out of town so we asked our hotel a good pizza place and they mentioned Johnny's. It was a little hard to find as the sign wasn't lit up amongst the others, and it was tucked back from the main road. When we were inside, we were greeted with a friendly smile and seated quickly. There was a big screen of the game on but not too loud, so you could still hear your conversation. The waitress was very helpful for helping us choose a favorite and was very patient with our little one. The food was excellent and very fair on prices for what you got! Next time we are in town again, im coming back!
We were 40 minutes from our destination and Johnny's NY Pizza was at the 1/2 way mark, it was 9:00, they closed at 10:00 so we called to make an order. We were driving so we just let it ring and ring and they never picked up for about 15-20 minutes. We were going that way, figured they were busy and stopped into place an order in person. When we walked in, the place was almost empty so I tested the phone from the front door and called and could hear it ringing and just let it ring as I went to the counter to order. 5 employees milling around on cell phones and talking, no one said hi, or came up to help me, the phone is still ringing in the background and I watched as they ignored it. It's now about 9:20 we are half way home and wanted pizza so I hung up, called out to an employee, she took our order and I waited for it. I asked her why they didn't pick up the phone she told me they were busy, hmmm, Okay, on their cell phones and talking.... At any rate, I paid, gave a $5 tip anyway, and took my pizza home, 15-20 minutes away. When I got home and opened the box, I didn't expect to be hot, but I did expect it to be cooked, the cheese wasn't melted all the way through and the dough was still gooey. We finished cooking the pizza and it tasted okay. I would not recommend this restaurant though. I went back and forth between 1 & 2 stars and settled on 1. I'm not mad or anything and the pizza was okay, but I think they need an adult in charge, or at least someone that could help them to remember that are at work, I assume they get paid for being there, you know an exchange for, um, working.
