Order right every time still warm when I get home
Quite disappointed as first try here, both the cod and haddock were very soggy and unappealing, clearly the oil temperature not high enough to crisp the batter, pity as the fish seemed a decent quality, three young kids serving and I didn't want to think the worst when went in but it turned out that way, likely need a bit of food and customer service training, on good note the chips were decent, curry sauce nice and thick and potato pasties nice if batter a little soggy We went as Cod and Cow closed but will return back there for sure.
Haven’t been in a while to this John Dorys, last time wasn’t great, this time was worse, rubbery chicken not actually sure it was cooked fully and fish bites you could ring out, cost of living and the price of things do better John Dorys !
There's nothing unique about John Dory's - it's decent food, it's relatively pricey and there's nothing that sets it apart that makes you want to call it your favourite chippy. The service is standard, nothing to shout home about. It's functional, the food is good, but like with any chain it seems to just follow a formulaic practice without trying to hard to impress
