JoDog Craft Hot Dogs

What a hot dog! One of the best chili dogs I have eaten. Just walking by and got hungry. Good decision! The guys inside were great.

Hervorragende vegetarische/vegane Hot Dogs am Sparksman Wharf! Bei unserem Spaziergang sahen wir den Hot Dog stand und probierten zwei der Hot Dogs, wobei wir uns für jeweils die vegetarische/vegane Variante entschieden haben. Beide Hot Dogs sowie die Pommers waren überaus fein - sehr zum Empfehlen! Vegetarian options: Alle Hot Dogs können statt der Fleischvariante auch vegetarisch/vegan bestellt werden, wobei man hier einen Aufpreis von rund $2 pro Stück zahlen muss.

Got the Mexico Dog and plain Fries with a water - total was 20$ (I think allitle much). My hot dog was cold when I got it, hot dog flavor was meh but the potato bun was good. I think this is a NY style dog so they are typically boiled but alittle bit time on their griddle would have went a long way for a better flavor and texture (I’ll ask for this next time). The fries were abundant and delicious, hot and well seasoned, these saved the meal unfortunately. I would go back, try the plain hotdog (cooked alittle more) and get those tasty waffle fries.

We tried the Mexico City dog, a garlic hot dog, a regular hot dog, and the chili cheese fries. The Mexico City dog was delicious. The chili cheese fries were OK. They were very soggy, though, because they were saturated with toppings. The plain hot dog was good, but the hot dog was small and it messed up the bun to dog ratio. Service was great. Food came out quick. Check it out if you want a spin on a classic food.

Dogs sounded cool and unique, flavors just didn't wow. They were fine, just not something I'd crave and want to go back for. If I was at Sparkman, would I get another one, sure. But I wouldn't go there just got a dog.

Ordered via the app, which told me 2 dogs would be ready in 10mins. Was there after 5mins, 15+ other people already waiting. Waited 20mins and watched 3 employees produce one order (usually 2 dogs) about every 6mins. Not exaggerating, only saw 3-4 orders come out during that time. The guy assembling the dogs spent most of his time staring at the order screen. I gave up, wasting $20. Walked by 15mins after that and some of the same people were still waiting! A friend said the same thing happened to him 15mins after opening on a Sunday: waited 45mins for 2 hot dogs.

Jo’Dogs at Sparkman Wharf is a must-visit for hot dog lovers. I tried their Mexico City Dog with spicy waffle fries and it was amazing. The hot dog was flavorful and the toppings were a perfect balance of tangy and spicy. The waffle fries were crispy and seasoned just right. Everything was served hot and fresh. Highly recommend!
