Great historic spot. Free parking right next to it. Ordered a Polish sausage sandwich, they're making so many that I got one as I was ordering, didn't even have to wait. There's a standing area to eat on the side, or you can just eat in the car, there's plenty of free street parking up front. Comes with seasoned fries and sport peppers for around $6, which in Chicago is an great price. And the taste is so special, couldn't be more satisfied. Open til 1am, so you have plenty of time to come by.
Everything you need in a quick food place and then some. In and out, good free fries and prices exactly as advertised.
This is one of my hometown favorites. I've been coming here since I was a kid who worked the adjacent flea market as a hawker. Popcorn and balloon sales afforded me daily, fresh, hot fries, and beef polish with a can of cold soda. Now the sits alone, the flea market is now the University of Illinois, but the memories are there with every bite.
