Quick, friendly service and delicious sandwiches!
I just had my sub delivered which was fairly quick but the first few bites of my sandwich it tasted funny to me. I always get the LuLu so I usually add onion and cheese along with oil&vinegar. I noticed no onion was put on my sandwich and somehow avocado was added. After noticing that I realized why it tasted funny to me. Sucks that I paid a good amount for a sandwich that wasn’t even made right.
The food was ok — I mean it’s a sub shop and I got a Turkey Tom — the safest thing on the menu. Granted I’m more used to Subway, but neither the cashier nor the guy making the sandwich asked what I wanted on it. After waiting a few minutes as the other guy was finishing take out/delivering orders (I was literally the only person in the store and still had to wait for two or three other orders before they started mine), I went ahead and made sure they were going to put on the basic toppings. I wasn’t offered a soft drink or anything. I don’t even recall the cashier telling me the total — it just showed up on the register so I inserted my card. I kinda got the impression that one or both were high, but they certainly didn’t care that I was there or if I came back. They just wrapped up the sandwich and handed it to me. No, “Thank you,” or, “Have a good night.” I wanted napkins as I was taking it to go. There are none set out for customers, so while waiting to get the attention of either employee (again ONLY person in the store), I had to reach over and grab napkins from where they pack them for delivery. I didn’t even get a bag so I could stick them in with the sandwich instead of having both roll around loosely in the car. I guess I’d go back if I’m in the mood for a sub and they’re the only option, but will definitely stick with Potbelly’s and Subway. I feel like the general quality of ingredients at Jimmy John’s is a little better than Subway, but Subway will at least look you in the face, ask you what you want on your sandwich, bag it up, and ask if you want anything else.
While our sandwiches were amazing we ordered combo meals and got their chips. All 3 bags of the chips were disgusting. Not expired but the chips all stuck together and weren't even appealing in taste. Not crunchy at all but more of moist soggy blobs.
When i walked in there were only two workers, neither of which welcomed me in, not even a hello! The worker at the register(no name tag) was horrible. No smile, no thank you. The music was insanely loud, i get it was pretty empty so that's not a terrible issue, but i could hardly hear the worker. I love jimmy johns, but this location was drab to say the least. Good food though.
Downtown JJs what’s up with this?? I was appalled to discover the quality of the lettuce that was on my sandwich. Multiple pieces were very brown and spotty. The quality of the produce on your sandwiches should be on the top of the list of things to make sure are good to go for your customers! Do better!
