Always reliable courteous
I had Jimmy John's 2 of the 3 days that I was in the area. I love their portions, freshness, quality, variety and menu options. Jimmy John's is my favorite sandwich joint and this location is definitely on their game. I am in Austin 1x a month and will definitely be back.
In this place I incredibly stopped going because there is never ready bread
Jimmy John's normally is a place I order from once a week or so from a variety of locations, especially when traveling for work. This location at MLK has twice already been freaking rude. Twice they forgot to deliver an order item, then I reached out to inform them, they get defensive and rude. I just got off the phone with Alex - the manager in charge. I informed her that I needed the item asap and that I would be placing a review. She then had the nervebto tell me, "Well, do you want the item delivered, or are you going to post a review, because I'm the one who deals with the reviews? "... She basically threatened me to not the deliver the item if I posted a review. I believe that is theft of services. Freaking ridiculous!!! This place needs to be re trained on their customer service skills.
I called this location to ask if they offer curbside ordering (I had my dogs in the car and didn't want to leave them unattended to go inside) they said they don't officially offer curbside, but insisted I order online and call them again once I arrived and thy would be happy to bring my food out. I was grateful and impressed, and then immediately placed my order from my parking space. When I called to tell them, a manager decided it's not okay to offer curbside and I wouldn't be getting my order (that they told me to place, when I was already there) without coming inside. Handled very unprofessionally.
Jimmy John's is good, relatively cheap, and quick. There's nothing wrong with it. Other than that it's a chain. Thundercloud subs is probably better and local. Maybe go there instead?
Very nice people working there. Good food
